I am an Academic and a VR and Emerging Technologies specialist with a background in Film and TV production and post-production. I have worked professionally as an Engineer, Supervisor, Producer, and Creative Consultant.

​

I have conducted research into virtual reality storytelling and the fundamental worldview that needs to be adopted by creatives to fully utilize the platform.

 

Currently, I am working on my PhD in University-Industry collaborations to meet ongoing skills demand in the emerging media technologies sector as well as teaching Bachelor and Masters students at my University.

In addition to my philosophical research I am also researching technologies and methods of practice in VR narrative production, such as my research into volumetric video vs motion captured photo-realistic virtual humans: a cost-benefit analysis for VR production.

I am also working in the cutting-edge field of virtual production technologies (Virtual Cameras, Virtual Sets, Live VFX, Live Events, Virtual Broadcasting, Tracking, nDisplay, Artist Facing Tools, Pipeline Development, etc).

I teach introductory and 101 courses in virtual production, as well as specialist workshops such as vfx, lighting, level design, virtual cinematography, and engineering
